I really love my vehicle. It is very reliable. I use it to haul stuff a lot especially my trailer and lawn mower. It drives very smooth. It is a four door so it is very comfortable and there is plenty of room for people to sit in the back.

It's my truck and I will have it forever. No I didn't buy it new but it's the best truck I've ever owned.

ABSOLUTELY NOT

Chevrolet issues with a used vehicle.

I bought this truck used and have had many mechanical issues it the short time I've had it. The service light was on before I ever made my first payment, then problems with the oil pressure unit and was told this model was bad for that. I bought this truck because I was in need but regret the decision.

It is a good work truck and with the right accessories it can look even tougher than it already does

Do not like that its a single cab and the locks and windows are manual. Also, had to have many repairs already. I do like that it's tough looking

Power steering is hard to turn when cold.

I keep having my fuel pump to go out. And it is very upsetting to have to drop the gas tank to replace it otherwise it is a dependable car. Never had problems until three years ago bb every since then I had to replace it on three different occasions.

The Chevy bowtie topping off.

The truck is a very clean looking truck. The V-6 engine has the power to get around but is kind of rough on gas mileage. If I was to buy another truck I would make sure it is a V8 so I get the extra power in the same gas mileage. Overall the Chevys are very well-made trucks and I will probably drive on until I die.

It is cool. It is takes you places when you need to get to places.

It is old and dusty and no air conditioner. It is get really hot inside. Sometimes I have trouble putting down the windows because they get stuck. Sometimes it does not want to turn on so I have to miss work that day. Or when I am driving, sometime it is turns off in the middle of the road.

Beautiful on the outside, flawed on the inside.

It's nice, but it lacks features. The floor on the passenger side gets super hot and is unbearable. There is no A/C in the back which is desperately needed. It can comfortably seat 6, but car seats are a pain to fit. Not enough storage and cup holders for the back.

For the most part l like my car.

It has a blower that does not work all the time. One of the mirrors is broken. It also has some rust on it. The car is older and does not get a lot of gas mileage. I like the heated seats also it has a lot of storage in the back on the whole car itself.

It is very reliable. I have not had any major problems with it. I have only had to change the battery headlight and door handle.

No major recalls on this vehicle. It is very reliable compared to other makes I have seen. Parts are not too expensive and the maintenance is pretty easy.

Yes. Occasional transmission problems, gear shifter problems, defrost problems, ball joint problems.

Yes it is reliable. We have not had any problems and is good on gas and mileage. We have not had any problems so far with our truck.

Very reliable vehicle. No major issues with motor. No issues with any of the electronics. Only major expense was a new set of tires.

Yes, very reliable. No problems, other than the regular wear and tear on a vehicle. The only issue I've had is the extended cab doors try to swing shut after opening. So whatever is supposed to hold then open doesn't work properly.

No I have had no problems outside of standard maintenance which I have done by my Chevy dealer twice a year

I have not run into any issues with the truck, no. I believe it is very reliable, but it does take a lot of gas.

How Does the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Compare to Other Trucks?

Based on owner reviews, the 2011 Chevy Silverado ranks 7th out of 15 full-size trucks, putting it in the middle of its class. One of its closest competitors is the Ford F-150, which has better safety ratings, and a higher quality interior. Both trucks have similar reliability ratings, and can tow nearly the same weight. Ultimately, choosing between the two comes down to brand preference, since they are both great trucks.

Another competitor is the Ram 1500 series, which has a more comfortable driving experience, and a better technologically-advanced interior. Where the Ram loses to Chevy is in reliability, since it will not last as long. Between the two trucks, the Silverado is the better choice since it is going to spend less time in the shop.

Still gets me to where I need to be!

After about 130,000 miles the transmission needed to be rebuilt and the radiator replaced because the rpm kept jumping. Even though I took very well care of the vehicle it still had these problems. The heater also is not operating very well at the moment. It tries to turn on but will not.

Chevy silverado pros and cons.

Intermittent problems that I wouldn't consider normal wear and tear. Uses some oil between oil changes. Very comfortable for long trips. Overall fairly reliable. Ability to tow and work the truck when needed. Would consider buying another silverado in the future.

The Chevy Silverado 1500 lt is capable of any job you'd need to get done.

The truck runs great, performs just the same in the heat, cold, goes up hills great, goes down hills great. I pull my boat just fine and the gas mileage is not great but it really is not bad for the area I live in. The trucks air conditioning and heater works fast and powerful within moments of turning the vehicle on.

I like how the exterior looks, in my opinion it looks better than the new models.

Best purchase I made was buying a Chevy Silverado, I do not regret buying it because it does not give me any problems. I bought the car with 70k and it is now on 140k and had no issues whatsoever. The only thing I recommend is buying a newer model for example a 2015 Chevy Silverado would be a great purchase because of the looks. I heard that year model the ax goes out but that can be fixed.

My vehicle has an aftermarket cold air intake as well as a borla s series muffler.

Runs like a beast. Love the 4x4 I use it often. I haven't had any problems out of it yet. I have had it for six months and have put 6 k miles on it. Very good on gas. I usually get 420 miles to a 25 gallon tank of regular unleaded. By far the best truck I have ever owned.

Very reliable. Comfortable. Looks good in red.

Very reliable. Comfortable with a decent sized back seat. Bed that can hold a huge tool box if you work in construction or iron work. Haven't had any out of the normal issues. Does take a lot of gas. Not a 'family' vehicle but definitely a good work truck or for someone with a kid or two.

It is a must have I would buy this truck again.

This has been the best truck ever. I have not had any problems out of this truck I have not ever had to put it in the shop. I have only had to change the oil as regular maintenance. This truck is a very smooth ride it drives well in all weather. It is a must have.

My Silverado is a nice truck. It runs great and does not give me any problems.

My truck does not have all the bells and whistles, but it runs beautifully. It is getting up there in the years, and needs a bit of work, yet it is made it through one crash and protected my family and I from the crash. It has comfortable seating, and enough room for 5 people. One problem is that it does not have a USB port, but other than that it is great.

Great all around vehicle.

There is some rust starting to establish itself under the wheel wells of the back bed especially. I have added chrome fender flares to cover some of it up. Plastic chrome handles on doors have a tendency to break. Need to check bolts on exhaust manifold periodically as they have a tendency of unscrewing themselves, however they are really easy to get to and with a little loctite they should stay right in. I am very pleased with the truck overall and the performance of the engine is great.

Very smooth riding truck with easy steering wheel controls.

Overall the truck is very smooth riding and comfortable. It alerts whenever you have a low tire or any issue, I love how you can connect your phone to your truck with Bluetooth. Another thing I love is the steering wheel radio controls it makes it easy when you are driving to change the radio station or turn down the music.

I'd buy 10 more if I could 1 for every1 in my family.

The only thing I would change is id get the 4 door instead of the 2 doors & a little bit longer bed, other than that it's been a perfectly reliable truck has mo never left me stranded, actually every1 calls me to rescue them, it gets awesome gas mileage just a all around great truck,I also left the stock tires on I didn't go put big tires on it just because it was a truck.

Over all my truck is very reliable, and a very sharp truck to drive.

It is my baby, I get fairly good gas mileage, it is very reliable I like the comfort use it to drive to FL every yr. I do not like the placement of the door handle it hits me in the knee. All that I need to do is reg maintenant. The bed liner is a truck saver.

Four wheel drive Chevy great handling.

Not great on gas mileage but handles very well have over 200,000 miles on it. It is four wheel drive so it gets me around in bad weather I would recommend this type of truck for the fact the four wheel drive handles well if you need to haul stuff you have the capacity.

My truck has the 4.8 v8 Chevy engine in it.

I have only had two problems with my 2011 Chevrolet lt 1500 Silverado. Which was corrosion on my fuse box chasing the fuel pump not to work and start, and needing to place a sway bar, and a great set of tires due to uneven wear because of the warped sway bar.

Why I love my truck. I really love the 4 wheel drive.

I really love my truck. It has a bench seat so we can fit more people. It has a long bed which helps with hauling things. It has a 5 disc CD player with built in Sirius radio. It drives really nice not like a field truck and it has 4 wheel drive which is awesome cause we get alot of snow.

No frills but gets the job done.

Not too many features compared to the ls version. Has everything you need for a pickup. Has 4 wheel drive so can go anywhere I need it to. Wish it had some more power. Feels sluggish getting onto a freeway and affects gas mileage. Could be the rear end gearing but sits at about 2000 rpms under highway speeds which kills the gas mileage.

The highlight is we turned the bed of the truck into a flatbed.

Number one I love Chevy/ GMC vehicles and Chevy will always be my first choice when it comes to buying a vehicle. The Chevy have now which is my husband's work truck is pretty cool we converted the bed of the truck into a flatbed we have had this vehicle since 2017 and we haven't had any problems only thing I wish it was a gas truck instead of a diesel.

Very reliable, some problems.

My family bought this vehicle used in 2016. It has served as a work truck in heavy off road areas. There have been several problems over the years, as what happens to every vehicle. Recently, as of 2019, there has been an increase of problems due to its extensive use. Even with this, the problems are usually easy to identify and fix. So far it has proved to be a very reliable vehicle, which is to be expected from a Chevy.
